Sep 15, 2011 · Introduction. This is a guide explaining how to create a secret encrypted drive the easy way using a graphic user interface. It covers installing and using the TrueCrypt software (version 6.1) and Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex).
TrueCrypt Copy all data from the drive encrypted by TrueCrypt to the drive encrypted by BitLocker. If you do not have a spare drive, first decrypt the drive encrypted by TrueCrypt. Select the drive in TrueCrypt, open the Volumes menu and select Permanently Decrypt item (available in version 7.2). Then encrypt the drive by BitLocker (see above). TrueCrypt uninstalled. This is the normal way to uninstall TrueCrypt, but you said you extracted the TrueCrypt files to /usr/share/truecrypt which isn't the normal way of installing TrueCrypt, so if the above commands don't work, open the terminal and run the following commands:
